Despite being a confirmed Kool Aid drinker, I really had no desire to own an iPhone. After all, I have a perfectly good Treo 650, so the mobile-device-that-does-everything itch had already been scratched.

However, I am now ready to embrace my destiny.

Mind you, this still presumes a time when I have an extra $600 sitting around with no purpose.

Started yesterday at 2 p.m.
Finished at 3 a.m., making it about 11 hours of reading, once you factor in dinner and other such.
Result: Deeply satisfied.
