Bill Simon, Antichrist

Hey, California! Imagine for a second that it's November 2000 again, and YOU have the power to prevent Bush from getting into office. The catch (and there's always a catch) is that the candidate you'll have to vote for has not exactly warmed your heart recently, what with the economy in the tank, the energy crisis looking mishandled, and education still in the tank. Given the chance, would you make sure that at least Bush doesn't get a chance to screw things up the way he has?
You betcha. So now it's nearing November 2002, and your choices are Bill Simon (a psychopathic businessman with a history of dubious deals and a rabid anti-abortion, anti-gay, anti-immigrant platform toned down to appeal to swing voters) and Grey Davis (admittedly, not the most liberal candidate, but better than Satan). In 2000, a lot of folks with good intentions managed to vote Bush into the White House by either not voting for Gore or by voting for Nader. Let's not repeat that mistake.
Vote for Davis. He's the lesser of the two evils, and he'll do until we can fix the system.
