The air quality in Calcutta has become so bad that traffic cops coming off-duty asre being required to take oxygen for twenty minutes before clocking out.
Reread that last sentence, please.
If you were an alien visitor to our planet, and you wanted to see an example of what happens when the market is left to regulate itself (in terms of pollution, workers' rights, and quality of goods), I would advise you to look no further than Calcutta. And then I would hand you a tissue.
